A high school student uses a pendulum crafted from a coin to locate mystical items and stumbles upon something unforeseen. The story was first published in the January 1998 edition of Monthly Afternoon and received the Judge's Special Award at the 43rd Afternoon Four Seasons Awards, selected by Ryoichi Ikegami.
