Kaede Hashimoto, a young woman, earns recognition by winning a rookie screenwriter award for her debut, which becomes a successful theatrical anime film. She relocates to Tokyo to advance her career, only to discover the challenges of sustaining herself as a screenwriter are greater than expected. She spends more time working part-time jobs than writing, but her circumstances shift after receiving a significant phone call.
