After the Earth's magnetic poles vanished, disrupting the planet's equilibrium, humanity retreated to fortified bases while mutated organisms, known as xenogens, now dominate the outside world. Amid this struggle for survival, a sentient mushroom lives quietly in the forest until humans take something vital from him—his spore. Stripped of his purpose, the mushroom assumes the identity of a deceased human boy named An Zhe and attempts to infiltrate a human stronghold. To gain entry, he must evade Supreme Judge Lu Feng, whose role is to identify and eliminate any mutants attempting to pass through the gates. Lu Feng is known for his unerring ability to detect intruders, and his attention is now fixed on An Zhe.
