In 1946, a wounded soldier named Ichishi Takamura, nicknamed the "Mad Dog," is recruited by Okamoto Unosuke, head of the Nagato Trading Company, a new organization. Composed of former naval officers, the company aims to recover wartime treasures. Takamura, now a former army man, is tasked with guarding illegal funds and must prove himself to the group. Haunted by the memories of his deceased wife and fellow soldiers, he continues to fight.
