A character named Susan is described as the ideal and kind female lead in a novel. Based on this, Lady Medena Rodenherg, who has been taken over by a new presence, readily supports the main character’s journey. However, the story Medena is familiar with is incomplete, and Susan is not as kind as she appears. This is made clear when Susan betrays Medena and leads to her unjust execution. Given a second chance before meeting Susan, Medena chooses a different path and forms an alliance with the novel’s antagonist, Pharren. It turns out that Pharren might not be the evil figure Medena previously believed him to be.
