Lynx was left to grow up in the slums of the Lan Empire, unaware of her true heritage as a member of the influential House of Joo. On the verge of being sold as a concubine, she is approached by Heeyun Joo, a noblewoman who bears a strong resemblance to her. Heeyun reveals herself to be Lynx's long-lost older twin sister and asks her to take her place.
