Yeonsangunui Chef-ro Saranamgi

A modern French chef, Yeon Ji-young, accidentally ends up in Joseon after an unexplained incident and gains the attention of King Yeonsan by making fried chicken. Impressed, the king names her chief royal cook and threatens her with death if her food is unsatisfactory. Each night, she prepares elaborate meals to stay alive, but a growing, complex relationship begins to develop between them. Ji-young starts to see the king not only as a ruthless ruler but also as a man, while Yeonsan becomes increasingly preoccupied with her rather than his meals.
