Nokju, a college student who wants to open his own cafe, loses his part-time job at a cafe due to a difficult customer. A former coworker suggests he visit another cafe, but upon arrival, he finds only a staircase. He is told to close his eyes and climb to the 13th step, which he does, unsure if it's a prank. At the top, he encounters a boss and becomes entangled in a complicated relationship with him.
