The death of the imperial dragon, a symbol of the empire, is expected as it was known the creature was very old. A successor is already in place, so the transition is not a cause for concern. Jinyoung Killis, a knight from the Imperial Palace Safety Planning Department, is assigned to protect Se Hyeon, the dragon’s contractor. Though she appears to be a seventeen-year-old girl, she is in fact 123 years old. Her mission with the dragon consists of simple, unusual tasks such as attending a concert, visiting friends, praying at her parents’ graves, going to a casino, and visiting an amusement park. However, failing to complete these tasks or dying would reportedly lead to natural disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions across the empire.
