Kashio Yamakawa, a first-year student at Kyoto University, struggles with a loss of identity after no longer standing out academically. He drifts through life in a state of apathy until he meets Yoko Sawakita, a former classmate and Mandolin Club member from high school. Yoko, once a modest student like Kashio, has become a professional wrestler and arrives at Kyoto University as a celebrated new student. Kashio is surprised by her transformation and public recognition, while Yoko had long anticipated reconnecting with him at the university.
