A samurai from the Edo period named Sadachika has a strong interest in ukiyo-e art. To help him learn how to attract women, his father brings him to meet Murasaki, a top-ranking courtesan in the Yoshiwara district. Though initially anxious, Sadachika begins a connection with Murasaki through his skill in home-cooked meals.
