Ayr is banished to a barren and unforgiving planet, where he survives by hunting colossal creatures for sustenance. His routine is disrupted when a law enforcement officer informs him that his exile has been lifted. Upon reaching Askr, he discovers that a century has passed during his absence. The world appears vastly altered, yet he is left wondering why his exile was rescinded after such an extended period.
