A two-part reprint volume drawing on rare Showa-era work. The first piece, Youkai Hakase, appeared in 1968 during the closing years of the rental manga business, issued by Top Publishing under the pen name Busaburou Ootsu, and follows the occult conflicts of Dr. Youkai Limboreron and the monsters at his command. It is paired with Soutou no Kichigai Onna, the opening entry in Akebono Publishing's Takerou Nishi science fiction thriller line, an unsettling mystery in a speculative vein.
