Youkai Karuta
ようかい歌留多
During the transition from the Edo period into a more modern era, Shion travels to Japan from the Netherlands, hoping to encounter a youkai. He goes to his mother’s hometown, driven by this desire. One evening, he meets a boy beneath a bridge who appears to be a youkai, glowing faintly. The boy is identified as a half-human, half-monster being known as a Hanyō.
