Yowaito Nikki

A warrior named Hisui wields a sword known as the "Drunken Sword," one of many weapons believed to house spirits. The emperor has issued a command for people to collect these Spirit Swords, prompting assassins and bounty hunters to pursue Hisui. He faces daily threats from those working for the emperor and others seeking rewards. Hisui protects Shirei, a childhood friend, though there are hints that she may not be who she appears to be.
