A girl named Asako experiences a shift in her lonely routine after encountering Hongo, a boy who intervenes when he believes she is attempting to take her own life. The two grow close and begin to enjoy the pleasures of life together. However, Asako's perspective changes when she learns about Hongo's history. The manga also includes a second story titled "Cuckoo Child."
