A girl named Hye-Eun, who dreamed of escaping poverty through adoption by a wealthy family, became a victim of a cruel experiment known as the "Genius Child Project." After enduring the ordeal and being left behind, she later reconnects with her first love, Myung-Jun, and starts a family. However, hardship continues to follow her. Eventually, she decides to kidnap a child, leading to a complex situation involving herself, Myung-Jun, and the kidnapped child, Ro-Hui. Each character, dealing with their own struggles, makes choices that lead them down a path they cannot undo.
