Yuuhi Takamiya skips a week of school at the start of the academic year due to an unexplained fever and attempts to avoid attention by appearing absorbed in reading. Struggling with loneliness, he expresses a desire for friends, which draws the attention of Nano, an extraterrestrial from Pokoton. She arrives in space to carry out a promotional campaign and uses a demonstration item on him. As a result, Yuuhi's experience at high school takes a dramatically different turn.
