By day, a pious church servant, by night, a ruthless inquisitor, Alicia Snowell carries out the Church’s orders to root out heresy. Her current assignment is to kill the Hero Elcyon, a figure whose rising influence challenges the Church’s authority. Elcyon is believed to be invulnerable, but Alicia discovers that the Hero is actually a girl named Cion.
