A hero who continually returns to life makes it impossible for the Dark Lord to achieve victory. After seemingly meeting his end, the Dark Lord preserves his soul within an empty body and begins a new chapter. Weakened but determined, he gathers a group of outcasts—a slime, an orc, an ifrit, and a dark elf—to aid in his plan to restore his fallen empire, taking slow and clumsy steps toward his goal.
