A man named Nakajima Ryou is reborn in another world as the Demon King Vermudol, due to the manipulations of a mysterious entity called the Demon God. He arrives in a Mazoku continent in a state of extreme disorder. If humans learn of a new Demon King's emergence, a Hero will likely appear to defeat him. To avoid his predetermined fate of being killed by the Hero, Vermudol uses his powerful abilities to rapidly bring order to the continent.
