Akihito is a man who spent ten years in isolation without learning basic social norms, leading him to commit mass murder and receive a 500-year prison sentence. He is offered a program that lets him transfer to troubled high schools as a "sinner transfer student," where he can shorten his sentence by resolving issues at the schools. He enters a delinquent high school and occasionally an all-girls school, using a mix of casual optimism and physical force to address problems. The story explores whether Akihito will eventually earn his freedom and live outside of prison.
