In 1914 Birmingham, England, Monica, a witch, flies a mechanical broomstick through the smoky air as tensions rise before the outbreak of war. As the global conflict known as the First World War begins, witches become entangled in its turmoil, facing manipulation, exploitation, and the struggle to survive according to their own will.
