The city's rise to prominence was driven by the Hadou Group, a powerful industrial family led by Hadou Ruri, who works to maintain peace and progress in the face of dark forces. One such threat is the Black Lodge, a syndicate led by Master Therion, who uses a group of skilled sorcerers to advance his chaotic agenda. Kurou Daijuuji, a former student of the Miskatonic Magic Academy, abandoned his academic life and now runs a struggling detective agency from an orphanage on the city's outskirts. When his past resurfaces, he is approached by Hadou Ruri with a request to locate a powerful grimoire capable of activating the legendary Demonbane Machina. This mission could alter the course of Kurou's life permanently.
