A new detective named Tomohiro Ishida discovers a naked man in his home, who vanishes after asking for his name. Shortly after, Tomohiro becomes involved in a case concerning a sword capable of possessing people. The same man, now clothed and present, reappears and identifies himself as Kyousuke, part of a police-linked supernatural task force. Tomohiro is transferred to this unit and begins working on various strange and unusual cases with his new, eccentric coworkers.
