Saeko has moved through major life milestones—graduating from university, getting married, and starting a career—while Aiba continues to live unhurriedly, moving at his own pace. The story unfolds through nine chapters, each focusing on different aspects of their lives and interactions. Topics include thoughtful reflections, a tulip, the ending of a fantasy, the arrival of spring, sweet things, a guest who enjoys playing go, geta and cigarettes, doing as one pleases, and life after certain events.
