Zuo Ying Xiao Jie

A crime-solving expert from Huanyang University is accused of a crime by her daughter and nearly faces execution before being sent to an asylum. Her daughter receives a promotion for handling the case. Soon after, a string of murders takes place in the city. When the daughter fails to solve the killings, she turns to her mother for assistance. The daughter approaches her with mixed emotions, visibly uneasy. The mother, reading the newspaper, offers help but questions why her daughter didn’t ask sooner. The mother wears handcuffs, yet the situation raises uncertainty about who is truly trapped.
