Debuted as an illustrator in Shousetsu JUNE in 1985 and later made her debut as a manga artist. From 2006 she produced BL manga under the name Natsuki Shinoda (篠田夏姫).
She has illustrated numerous novels and was extremely active as a doujinshi artist using pen names like Gina Umeda (ジーナ梅田), and Mizuki Kazuko (水木一子) producing doujinshi about Johnny's Idols, or anime and manga series like Saint Seiya.
