Hiroshi Uchiyama was born in 1980 in Chiba, Japan. He made his debut in 2005 under the pseudonym Hakkei Uchiyama with Aoi Sora no Hi, which won the 56th Shogakukan New Talent Award. From 2009, he has published under his real name.
