Rene Hoshino is a black manga artist, model and actor. Was featured in the Japanese movie Moon Dream (2013) as Rune.
Hoshino was born in Cameroon to African parents, but raised in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture since around the age of 4 when his mother married a Japanese man. He saw the release of his manga book, "Africa Shonen ga Nihon de Sodatta Kekka" (アフリカ少年が日本で育った結果) in 2018.
