Chiyoji

Susumu Tsutsumi was born in 1960. He began his career as a cartoonist in the 1980s. a male audience and Kaoru Ai erotic works for a female audience. The founder of La Cúpula editions, Josep Maria Berenguer, discovered it following a trip to Japan in the 1980s. Berenguer buys several of his books (probably Endless Love, a collection published in 1985 by Keisei Shuppan), then negotiates the rights to reproduce his comics. Subsequently, Chiyoji will work directly for La Cúpula editions, no doubt also responding to the publisher's more specific orders, and adapting to the European comics market - in particular by showing hair and gender very explicitly of its protagonists.

In the West, the author has been incorrectly credited as Chiyoji Tomo. No one, not even Chiyoji himself, knows where Tomo 's thing came from due to a mistake with the Kanji that make up his pseudonym.

Chiyoji was one of the first mangaka published in Europe and, moreover, an erotic mangaka.
