Kitarō is requested by researchers to head to New Guinea to study Zeokuronodon, a yōkai who has lived there for 3 million years. However one of the researchers, Shūichi Yamada is not so thrilled with Kitarō joining them, for he is a man of science and does not believe that the supernatural would be of any help.
