Despite achieving revenge on Maurice and becoming Clayton's fag, Ciel is hindered by the school's rules and his low rank in accessing the headmaster. He and Sebastian decide to question Gregory, the prefect of Derrick's current house, next. The following day, at the Swan Gazebo, Ciel learns about the school's annual cricket tournament from the P4 and their fags. The conversation shifts to personal topics, leading to awkward teasing about Ciel's fiancée, Elizabeth. Ciel's mention of Derrick causes a suspicious reaction from the P4, making Ciel even more determined to uncover the truth. Further inquiries among students and staff yield only the repeated explanation that the headmaster decided the transfers. Frustrated, Ciel devises a plan with Sebastian to set a fire in Violet Wolf dormitory to force all students, including Derrick, to come out. They hope this will provide the breakthrough they need in their investigation.
