An unfortunate encounter with a dark nebula maroons Dandy on a mysterious planet called Planet Limbo populated by bizarre beings and even more bizarre environments. Sadness is an absent concept in this strange world of the seemingly dead. Dandy argues that this is impossible; that sadness and happiness are entwined. As he explores the strange landscape, Dandy scrambles to find a way back home. Struggling with his memories and what the world's inhabitants are telling him, Dandy is given an insightful look on life and death. This episode is a drastic change from the typical Space Dandy sound and art style, it's sombre and alien design contrasting sharply with the series' typical upbeat and vibrant comedic styles.
