Akuma Tou no Prince: Mitsume ga Tooru

The manga "The Three-Eyed Boy Comes Here" was adapted as the eighth installment in an animated series for a 24-hour broadcast. This particular film was produced by Toei Animation Co., Ltd., rather than Tezuka Productions Co., Ltd., which had handled previous entries. Tezuka Osamu contributed only the original story and a synopsis for the animation. Based on the manga "Easter Island: Sea Voyage," the story follows Sharaku and Wato as they explore an old ship and become involved in a journey across mysterious islands. The production placed greater emphasis on entertainment than thematic depth, leading to Tezuka Productions Co., Ltd. withdrawing from the series.
