Neo Kyoto lies in ruins, unrecognizable from its former state. Citizens are captured by the King's enforcers, the KUGE, and placed into "Barrels" to extract their magical energy, sustaining the King. A girl evades the KUGE, pursued relentlessly. She is Kurabe Kikka, the former King, once considered the most powerful ruler in Neo Kyoto's history. Now, without a Build-Divide deck, she is powerless against the KUGE and forced into constant flight. Each day brings new despair and regret. On the verge of giving up, she is aided by another girl. In the ruined city, the two join hands, beginning a journey that will lead them toward someone they both deeply care for.
