Leomon and Ogremon attack Primary Town to get T.K. as Tai, Matt, Izzy, and Mimi arrived. Devimon attempts to up the ante by infusing Leomon with more Black Gears, only to lose his servant when Tai and Matt use their Digivices to purify him. After recuperating, Leomon explains the prophecy that the children, as "DigiDestined", are to enact as his world's saviors. The group goes to Infinity Mountain for the final showdown with Devimon, who absorbs many Black Gears and Ogremon to grow in size and power. Even when the DigiDestined are rejoined by Sora and Joe, the fight is still not to their favor as Devimon attempts to grab T.K. At the last second, Patamon finally Digivolves to Angemon who knocks Ogremon out of Devimon's body before absorbing power from the other Digimon to take out Devimon with his Hand of Fate attack. But the attack puts Angemon on the verge of death himself, with Devimon taunting the victory to be hollow as he uses his final moments to reveal there are stronger evil Digimon in the Digital World who will slaughter his friends. After Angemon's data reconstitutes into a DigiEgg, and File Island begins to reform itself, the DigiDestined are suddenly contacted by a mysterious old man. (Source: Wikipedia)
