A first-year high school student named Midori Asakusa is deeply passionate about anime and believes strongly that concept is key in animation. Despite filling her sketchbook with various ideas, she has not yet begun making an anime, convinced she cannot do it alone. Sayaka Kanamori, who takes on a producer-like role, recognizes Asakusa's talent. When it becomes apparent that their classmate Tsubame Mizusaki, a charismatic fashion model, is genuinely interested in becoming an animator, the three form an animation club to bring their imagined "ultimate world" to life.
