Elfen Lied

A species known as Diclonius, believed to be divinely chosen and destined to bring about humanity's downfall, has telekinetic abilities and two horns. These individuals are confined in government-run labs due to their dangerous nature. One such Diclonius, a young and unstable woman, escapes after killing most of the guards at her facility, but is shot and falls into the ocean. She washes ashore where she is found by two teenagers who take her in. Struggling with memory loss, she is given the name "Nyuu" after the only word she can say. Despite her new surroundings, signs suggest her violent tendencies have not disappeared.
