A third-grader named Noriyasu discovers his mother reading his personal journal, prompting him to fabricate absurd stories to impress her. His tales include a giant bathroom snake, pencil-cooked meals, and pigs falling from the sky. To his surprise, these fictional events manifest in reality, and others accept them as ordinary. His attempts at creating sensational news stories lead to town-wide discussions, with one fabrication sparking a chaotic holiday centered around pigs.
