Suikotsu fights Inuyasha with ease, that is until his doctor persona struggles to emerge again. Inuyasha and his companions tend to Kikyo, taking her to a nearby forest in order for her to regain consciousness. Kikyo discusses Mount Hakurei, a sacred mountain capable of absolving and cleansing criminals. It is explained that the purity of Suikotsu became tainted when nigh the mountain.
