JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (2000)

Kujo Jotaro is a well-liked high school student in Japan who believes he is haunted by a spirit, leading him to isolate himself. After meeting his grandfather, Joseph Joestar, and confronting Joseph's companion Muhammad Abdul, Jotaro discovers the "spirit" is Star Platinum, a Stand—a visible form of his combat energy. Later, his mother also develops a Stand and falls ill. Jotaro learns this is due to the return of the vampire Dio Brando, who was defeated 100 years earlier by Jonathan Joestar, Jotaro's great-great-grandfather. Determined to stop Dio, Jotaro joins Joseph and Abdul on a journey to Egypt to end him permanently.
