Haruka Hoshinogawa received a cherry blossom ribbon from her grandfather at a young age while making a wish under their town's old cherry blossom tree. As she entered fifth grade, she continued to value the ribbon. When the tree begins to wither, her grandfather leaves to travel, leaving Haruka to manage his shop. The following day, the ribbon produces an egg, which hatches into a Cocotama, a deity formed from an object cherished with love. The Cocotama, named Ribbon, explains that it and others are connected to the Key of Wonders, which has transformed into a key after hatching. Haruka is told she has been chosen as the Legendary Contractor to the Cocotamas. Together, they run the shop, encounter other Cocotamas, and explore the key's secrets and abilities.
