In 2031, mysterious organisms known as Hardians emerge and rapidly threaten humanity. To combat them, the N.I.D.F. is established to study and defend against these creatures. Aiba Shu, a pilot, becomes engaged in the conflict, while scientist Rurika Yuno researches the Hardians and uncovers whispers of a mysterious book called the "Book of a Dead Man." The story explores the connection between this book and the Hardians as humanity struggles to survive.
