Mushi-Uta

In a near-future setting, mysterious insect-like beings called "Mushi" emerged a decade prior, offering supernatural abilities in exchange for consuming people's dreams and thoughts. The story introduces Daisuke "Kakkou" Kusuriya, who meets a girl named Shiika Anmoto in the first episode. Their relationship grows over time, though Kakkou is unaware that Shiika has escaped from a hidden facility called GARDEN, where individuals affected by the Mushi, known as Mushitsuki, are detained. A top agent from the Special Environmental Conservation Executive Office is sent to capture Shiika, but encounters opposition from the Mushibane resistance group, which is led by a figure known as "Ladybird."
