Nobara no Julie

An eleven-year-old girl named Julie Braun resides in the mountain pastures of Austria's Southern Tyrol. After her parents are killed by Italian soldiers, she moves to Vienna to live with her relatives, the Clementes. She forms friendships with her cousins Johan and Tanya but struggles to adapt to life under the care of Uncle Karl and Aunt Klara. As World War I begins, Karl loses his position at a glass factory, and the family faces increasing difficulties.
