"Parade" de Satie

A collaborative animated ballet featuring three managers and four performers, this project is directed by Koji Yamamura. It is based on Erik Satie’s 1916 ballet music "Parade," originally performed in 1917. The Dutch indie jazz band Willem Breuker Kollektief provided the music for this new adaptation, which takes a surrealist approach to the original work. The production was released in 2016, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of Erik Satie’s birth and the 100th anniversary of the premiere of "Parade."
