Peleliu: Rakuen no Guernica

A manga by Kazuyoshi Takeda is adapted into this anime, depicting Japanese soldiers during the prolonged and deadly Battle of Peleliu in World War II. The protagonist, Tamaru, envisions returning home to pursue a career as a manga artist, viewing the island as a potential setting for his future work.
