A.D. 1982 saw a planetary alignment that triggered upheaval on Earth. A light struck the Myojinsho reef, with five others scattering across the globe. Seventeen years later, in A.D. 1999, humanity has expanded into space, and the Earth Defense Army forms the elite squad Crasher to handle incidents. Myojin Takeru is a member of the team, originally discovered at the site where a light landed. He is actually Mars, born on the planet Gishin. As he grew, he received a command from an unknown voice: to stop Earth’s space expansion by causing the planet’s destruction. Mars was sent by Emperor Zure to trigger Earth’s end. However, having been raised as an Earthian, he refuses the order and decides to confront the consequences.
