Fighter planes and bombers attack Hakata city, turning the Fukuoka Dome area into a burning wasteland. Amid the chaos, a beam of light appears in the sky, using an energy cannon to intercept enemy aircraft and missiles. This new entity is identified as another "Ultimate Weapon." Meanwhile, Chise struggles with her forced transformation into a weapon and her thoughts drift to Shuji. Despite her internal conflict, military forces continue to deploy her to battlefields.
